In 1795, Nicolas-Jacques Conté perfected the quality and manufacturing of the coloured leads used by Italian artists in the 14th century. Many artists and grand masters have since used Conté à Paris pastels because of the selection of pigments, lightfastness, and the exceptional brightness and purity of the colours.
This Artists Studio box set contains 12 sketching Conte Carres Pastel Crayons, 3 drawing pencils (Pierre noire, sanguine & white), 1 tortillon, 1 stump and 1 putty eraser.
